Sewing up a storm...and impatiently waiting on spring.

So I have always been a fall/winter person.  I love the color of the trees and face it, who doesn't love to hide their body in a sweater instead of a swimsuit!  BUT, I have found myself looking forward to spring.  Keith and I have played outside with every warm day and I look forward to when that is a regular part of our routine.

Until then, I have been very busy with sewing.  I work for my good friend Kristin, who is co-owner of Made for Me by K&C.  As her business partner and friend, Chelsea would say, "she is the creative one".  I have sooooooo enjoyed helping her create lately.  You see, I have a boy...she has a stunningly sweet girl.  I am also super super picky about the clothing I put my son in.  I love a preppy/athletic look for my kiddo and I love that Kristin has let me create with her.  And we have been busy...I sewed two pairs of cargo shorts, a "everyday" skirt and a pillowcase dress today!  You have to check out her website:  http://www.shop.madeformeshop.com/main.sc

Oh, and did I mention it is March madness??!?!?!  Yeah, I don't love college basketball as much as football but I do enjoy March madness.  This is when I am thrilled I get to stay home with Keith because all we do is watch basketball and he loves it!!!!   With that said, I am sad the Southern Illinois season came to an end so quick but must give a shout out to a special individual Mamadou Seck.  He has been an outstanding role model for all the youth in the community but especially for my son.  The last game of the season he took this darling photo with Keith.
And did I mention he is married to a great gal named Gretchen with the cutest little man, Mohamad.  Thanks Mamadou for being such a great guy and best wishes as you pursue your basketball dream after graduation.

I have a few projects I want to share but I will be headed to see my parents this week.  My dad turns 60 on Sunday.  Happy early birthday Dad.  But the upcoming posts will hopefully include some tutorials.  Until then, checkout the Made for Me website, the stuff under handmade, is a lot of what I have been busy with.  Enjoy!
