Today's post is all about my family. Daddy has been attending the Final Four so it's just Master Keith and myself getting to make wonderful memories this weekend. First, we enjoyed the movie HOP tremendously. I was able to find him the small plush at Walmart last night while picking up a few groceries. He has not let the silly thing go! It was a wonderful time with my little boy.
Second, my friend is getting married at the awesome place called the Legends at Walker's Bluff. I know I have talked about this place before. It's everything you can dream up for a dinner/weekend getaway and more. It's very over the top but in a classy, I wish I could do this, kind of way. Anyway, I digress... The restaurant is closing for her wedding day so they can have it there. Nanna T (her mom) and I headed out there for lunch and to take pictures so they could decide the best place for the wedding, dance floor, food table, etc. Here are some of the pictures. It's an October wedding so it will just be beautiful and besides, the Bride is about as cute as can be so it will be perfect!
While visiting Walker's Bluff, Keith got to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and also play on their superb play set. It's amazing...strong enough that I even got to swing with him. Here are some pictures of him having a good time.
Before the fun ended on Saturday, we got ice cream on the way home. Couldn't pass on sharing Keith easting his cone! Too funny.
And yesterday was one of those days. You know, those days that it's so bad but no matter what you do, EVERYTHING is 10 times harder than it really is? Nonetheless we did get to enjoy the weather for a while despite the wind blowing anywhere from 20-30 mph! The power went out about 1:20 pm, which made it impossible for me to charge my lawn mower battery so that I could mow the pasture of a yard. I had also planned to run but of course the wind was too much and the treadmill somehow doesn't work without electricity. Thus, Keith and I took naps! I did realize one thing. We completely take our everyday conveniences for granted. I also realized that is probably one of many things we take for granted. God gives us so much that we just forget about, like waking in the morning, sunshine, jobs, and I could go on and on. I will end with this today, take a moment to be thankful for all those things we take for granted and say thanks to the big guy, God, for providing for us. Have a great week.
Thank you! You are too sweet! -Erin
