Just being a boy...

We have had the pleasure of visiting my parents recently and Keith is totally loving the farm life.  But seriously, all the openess and clean air, who wouldn't!  Enjoy Keith having fun.

Holy cow how this month is flying by!  It's hard to believe it's almost half over and I am just now getting to posting.  Sorry about that!  To quickly recap, last weekend which began on Thursday was CRAZY.  I helped with my friends fab wedding shower...Friday we hosted Sixo De Mayo party...Saturday, I ran a 5K, saw the movie Rio, SIU softball and cleaned up after the party....Sunday, Mom's day, SIU softball (again) and a quick nap before more party pick up.  It was busy (did I already say that) and it hasn't stopped.  This Friday night we enjoyed the company of friends at the SIU men's basketball meet the new coaches gathering and tonight, our friends hosted a fabulous crawfish broil despite the awful weather (cold and rainy AGAIN).

After the late night, I still managed to get up to run my 5K.  I definitely look the most of awake of this group!

After the movie, we stopped by the softball game.  Daddy went to check on things while Keith "bounced" around.

Finally the long day ended with Keith giving me my Mommy Day gift...he enjoyed opening it for me too!  It's so fun to watch how excited he gets when there is a present.  He makes everything perfect and wonderful!  I love my little blessing from God.

And in fine Keith fashion, he closed his eyes when trying to get a Mommy Day picture...but he is still super cute!

Wow, we look tired...guess the weekend took it's toll on the both of us!

The master bedroom upgrade.

Our master bedroom has always been my favorite place in the house.  I find it a relaxing getaway that is intimate and private where I can really let down.  With that said I have come to realize we need an upgrade!  I have messed with comforter, quilted blankets, and duvet covers to no avail.  We need a change and a change bad.  So while checking out my favorite sites (pottery barn and crate & barrel) I found this cool bedroom.



Our walls are currently two shades of light sea blue.  My hope is to paint the dark blue stripe a silvery gray as well as the stepped ceiling.  We also had hardwoods left over from the living room and our carpets are have worn awful.  I want to put the extra hardwoods in the bedroom and find an awesome rug under the bed.  While I love purple, we will stick with the blue.  I am making a duvet cover that will be easier for me to wash as our dear Gabby dog sleeps with us and from time to time makes the bed spread dirty with her little paws.
