Wacky Wednesday

So Wednesdays are a little crazy at the Savage home.  It's the one day of the week that Keith has a "set" activity, which is gymnastics.  He loves it, I love it for him, and Daddy loves that his little man is building big muscles!  However, it's also the day I run most of my errand (I mean, I am out already, why not do EVERYTHING at once).  Finally, we wrap up the day with evening church activities at First Baptist (www.fbcmurphy.org) Ahhhh...as I sit and write, because I am in need of a break, I wonder why do I try to do it all on one day; hmmmm.....  

I have been busy cleaning up my sewing room the past two days.  It's mess that looks something like JoAnn's Fabric blown up!  I also have a couple projects I want to get finished.  First, Keith's Easter outfit.  I have this great plaid material, which will be pants, a bow tie, and hopefully a hat (if I can figure out how to make it).  Second, his buddy Tre` is having a birthday this week and he is a huge Spiderman fan thus I do believe he needs a Spidy tie shirt (will post pic later).  Finally, it's Easter time and I have some fun material that I am making pillowcase dresses for a couple friends.  

I have posted a picture of the little munchkin I get to watch a few days a month.  For her birthday, my "fill-in" mom had me make her a Tennessee outfit.  It turned out way cute and I thought I would share.  With that said, I have had a few requests to make some things.  Like I tell Keith, "we'll talk about it"....just let me know what you are looking for!  Happy Wednesday and get out to enjoy this great weather!

Rainy Monday

Good morning from soggy So. Ill.  It's been rainy and cold since late last night so it's a great day to stay in and craft!  As normal, I started the day off with my blog reading for some ideas.  My favorite creation this past week was the t-shirt headband.  I wanted to include the link so you can also share in the fun of making it.  I found it out:  http://www.u-createcrafts.com/2011/02/t-shirt-headband.html. For all my friends...

To all my friends who have been my cheerleaders, I have opened my blog to you.  This all started as a way for the family to keep connected....then basketball season rolled around and I seemed to NEVER post anything...would forget my password...couldn't figure out how to post video, etc.  So this is my challenge to myself, post at least once a week!  I can't promise more than that...spring is around the corner and Keith and I have many wonderful project to do outside soon!  My posts will include things that may be personal like "hey Keith did this today" to hey, I was mommy-blogging and found this great idea.  Hope you enjoy and thanks to all my "cheerleaders", you keep me going.

This week in the Kronicles of Keith have included a visit with Omee (Chet's mom), some crafting, and lots of running.  On Tuesday, we spent the day in St. Louis visiting with Omee.  Keith did so well as he had to sit through a birthday lunch, the mall, and then dinner.  He is our lil champ!  I also have had a couple projects this week.  I made a special outfit for a birthday gift (pics later as the party isn't until Saturday), a great birthday gift for my friend Haley, and some fun headbands.  Enjoy the pictures!
