Rainy Monday

Good morning from soggy So. Ill.  It's been rainy and cold since late last night so it's a great day to stay in and craft!  As normal, I started the day off with my blog reading for some ideas.  My favorite creation this past week was the t-shirt headband.  I wanted to include the link so you can also share in the fun of making it.  I found it out:  http://www.u-createcrafts.com/2011/02/t-shirt-headband.html. For all my friends...

To all my friends who have been my cheerleaders, I have opened my blog to you.  This all started as a way for the family to keep connected....then basketball season rolled around and I seemed to NEVER post anything...would forget my password...couldn't figure out how to post video, etc.  So this is my challenge to myself, post at least once a week!  I can't promise more than that...spring is around the corner and Keith and I have many wonderful project to do outside soon!  My posts will include things that may be personal like "hey Keith did this today" to hey, I was mommy-blogging and found this great idea.  Hope you enjoy and thanks to all my "cheerleaders", you keep me going.

This week in the Kronicles of Keith have included a visit with Omee (Chet's mom), some crafting, and lots of running.  On Tuesday, we spent the day in St. Louis visiting with Omee.  Keith did so well as he had to sit through a birthday lunch, the mall, and then dinner.  He is our lil champ!  I also have had a couple projects this week.  I made a special outfit for a birthday gift (pics later as the party isn't until Saturday), a great birthday gift for my friend Haley, and some fun headbands.  Enjoy the pictures!

Wow, is it really January 22???

Sorry my dear family for the lapse in my posting.  When I started this in December, I had the best intentions of posting every few days or at minimum once a week.  Sooooo I am a little behind....ooops, life has been happening.  The spring semester has gotten off to a busy start for the family.  Rog has been super busy with ballgames especially out of town ones.  At one point 10 days ago, he was only physically in our home 2 nights in 10 days.  Thus Keith and I took the opportunity to finally celebrate Christmas with my parents.  Unfortunately Keith did not get to see his cousins between them being very sick and the 10+ inches of snow that landed while visiting the fine state of Kansas.  Keith had a phenomenal  time with Grandpa and Grandma but especially doing chores with Grandpa.  He truly loves being outdoors and loves those beautiful Angus cows my dad raises.  He nows "farms" daily but setting up his barn and feeding his cows every morning.

The semester has also brought an opportunity for me to pick up another class to teach, which means Daddy gets two evenings to spend with little boy without mommy's presence.  It's good for the both of them!  Also, a friend of the family has a little girl that I will be watching four days a month.  Miss Leighton is 7 months younger than Keith so it will be good for him to be the big boy.  I know how scary lack of daycare options can be so I am thankful I can help a friend out.

Keith is ever so much fun.  We have started lessons that teach him his letters and numbers.  He loves the idea of school but always says "only if mommy is teaching".  We are not anxious to send him off to preschool as some of our other friends are with their children.  I feel that we have so little time with him at this age, I am trying to absorb as much of his energy and innocence as possible.

As I am writing he is demanding my attention so I am off to be Mom, my favorite job.
